Dr Tom Hutcheson

Tom is an Associate Lecturer at the University of Edinburgh Business School where he has lectured Negotiation on their MBA programme since 2007.

Between 2009 and 2017 Tom held an Honorary Lectureship at the University of Dundee School of Law where he taught on their LLM in International Dispute Resolution and Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice.

Tom was awarded his PhD from the University of Strathclyde School of Law for his research into effective negotiation behaviour within the legal profession. Tom has also contributed to their MSc in Mediation & Conflict Resolution programme.

In 2008 he co-founded the Eastern Mediterranean Mediation Association (EMMA) based in Athens. Through Exfacie Negotiation Consultants he continues to offer commercial mediation services to the shipping industry
